Weekly Announcements
Children’s Ministries Update: Though we will continue our joint ministry with First Presbyterian on Wednesday afternoons, we will not attempt to merge our Sunday School programs. Therefore St. Paul’s is making a significant change in our program for children on Sunday mornings. Beginning this Sunday, we will offer Children’s Church in place of Sunday School. Our children will be with us at the beginning of the service, then following the processional they will be led out of the nave down the stairs where they will have their own church with singing and lessons. They will then rejoin us for communion.
We Need Your Help: We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help with broadcasting our 10:30 am service on Sunday mornings. We are hoping to find 4-6 volunteers so that each person is needed once a month or less. Whether you are tech savvy or simply willing to learn, we can teach you what you need to know to broadcast our services over Zoom and Facebook Live. Please contact Fr. Jim or Tymina if you are willing to get involved in this ministry.
Prayer Request Tree: The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) has set up an area on the side of the Anglican Hall pathway where anyone can write down a prayer request and hang it up to be read. The ECW will be checking these frequently and adding to their prayer list.
Camp Mitchell Fundraiser: Thank you for supporting Camp Mitchell. We have received word that several of our members have already contributed in advance of the fundraiser to help reopen the camp next April. If you are interested in carpooling to this event, please let Fr. Jim or Tymina know. The event will take place this Saturday, September 25th at Camp Mitchell from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. All the activities are outside and masks and distancing are required. There will be a camp tour, lunch, silent auction & a celebration of the Eucharist at the Chapel of the Transfiguration. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to CampMitchellBOV@gmail.com.
Arkansas ECW Fall Gathering: The Arkansas Episcopal Churchwomen will hold their fall gathering virtually on Saturday, November 6th. The guest speaker will be The Rev. Canon Dr. Lisa Corry, Subdean of Trinity Cathedral.
Giving to St. Paul’s: For those attending online there are three ways to give: you may mail your gifts to St. Paul’s, at PO Box 2255, Batesville, AR 72503, make an online contribution by going to our website (stpaulsbatesville.org) and following the link to make an online contribution or you may set up automatic payments through your bank’s Bill Pay service.
